I like Nir Shelter’s notion that the boy is kidnapped.? Furthering the concept, why not it be the case that there is nothing extraordinary about the boy as is growing up on planet earth; everybody thinks he’s a loser.? So why would they kidnap him?? Because he has latent abilities that only become manifest on the other planet.

Having that as the core concept– the hook– might have the makings for a good sci-fi, coming-of-age story.

    (30 words)

This movie raises a question in my mind:? if the script for the Big L had been written by an outsider with no credentials, no representation, no track record, would it have gotten a reading no matter how well-crafted the logline?? And if the script got read, would anyone have been willing to put up the money, assemble the talent to produce it?

When a harmless prank and a mystifying homicide collide, two men decide to run from the police to figure out who set them up. Their camaraderie shatters when one ends up in jail and the other one suddenly has a flawless alibi. A relentless detective keeps unravelling the truth behind a remarkably twisted story that keeps on washing up new suspects at every turn.

What do you think is unique about your story?? What's the hook?? What is the feature that differentiates it from other stories about somebody on the lam falsely accused of a crime?
