    When a mafioso father rejects his bastard son by a Black woman, the son builds his own criminal empire to take down his father. I think it's a concept with a lot of dramatic potential. Best of luck.

    And yes, in either locale, in the most remote, hostile place, the truck could break down. OR: he passes a vehicle that has broken down in the middle of nowhere. Which presents him with a dilemma. Being a decent bloke he turns back to help, using his skills as a mechanic to repair the vehicle as the clock ticks, ticks, ticks.

    I like "neurotic" better than delusional. But I think he ought to be described as a shut-in because that gives him a character flaw to overcome to find her: he's must overcome his agoraphobia/panic disorder and venture out into the wide, wide world.
