(Although what happens to them: must they do time in social media? re-education/rehabilitation prisons? How far have you worked through the implications of your premise, fleshed out the story world?? Maybe he could be a “re-educator” rather than a cop?)
Whatever, the? story arc entailed in your premise seems to be that the protagonist should go from being an enforcer in this not-so-brave new world into a rebel, from being a persecutor of the downtrodden to a palladin.
