Cutting ties with society, a overconfident young man embarks on a soul-searching solo hike into the canadian wilderness. He comes to the humble realization of his own inexperience as hostile weather sets in. To make matters worse, he runs into a girl stuck in a similar situation camped only a few yards away. As they reluctantly join forces to survive the storm, they swallow their pride and come to the humbling conclusion that perhaps they aren’t as mature, independent or unique as they thought, and that maybe soul searching ventures aren’t as grandiose or successful as books led them to believe. (Short Film)

At 101 words this isn't a logline. ?It's a story summary. ?(And a long one for a short film.) Please consult the information under "Formula" at the top of the web page of guidelines on how to write an industry standard logline.

So some aliens are smart enough to build a high-tech craft for space travel to collect life samples from a planet like earth, but not smart enough to build a secure, tamper-proof compartment to store the samples.Hmm.

As Foxtrot25 said. The ?logline for the genre needs to be specific -- not vague -- about the danger he faces. IOW: it needs to name a specific antagonist or state the specific overarching obstacle that threatens to frustrate and defeat him.
