When a prominent black surgeon in New York does a DNA test to find his family he finds out that he is from a small community of great hunters in ‘Arnhem Land. His life is thrust into chaos when he must cast off the silken symbols of civilization, to become the man, the hunter, the person he has been yearning for his entire life.

      Now that you’ve clarified the concept:

      When a sophisticated Black American professional discovers through a DNA test that he has aboriginal heritage, he abandons his comfortable, secure lifestyle to become a paleo-hunter in the Outback.

      An interesting concept. Since you ID him as a Black American,? I presume you have good explanation why he doesn’t become a paleo-hunter in? Africa instead.

      While having the protagonist as a surgeon may come in handy in the script. for a stituation where he must treat an injury in the Outback (without modern technology), I don’t deem it necessary for the logline.? In the logline, I suggest that the more important dramatic dynamic to emphasize is the contrast between the comfort and security of? his current lifestyle and discomforts and insecurity of a primitive lifestyle,

      Thank you for the clarification. I had no Idea what Arnhem Land was, so when I looked it up online it said Arnhem Land was a community in the Netherlands. You might want to say, outback in your logline for clarification. People know what the Outback is, but Arnhem Land is confusing.

      As someone who gets hung up on the credibility of story ideas, I find it completely credible? that an Australian Aborigine could “pass” or be mistaken for a Black in the United States.
