When a London teacher suddenly becomes a caregiver, a newfound connection is formed with her Father. Seven years later she finds herself navigating the scientific and medical world of spiritual healing – one of the greatest stories and controversies of the 21st century sparked by a family connection to the last Tsar of Russia.

For nearly ten years, Dena has been immersed in the exploration and story of healing and its role in modern medicine.

Residing in Italy, a country she wasn’t born in, Dena often faces inquiries about her relocation. While some expect a simple love story, the truth is far more complex. Departing from London on the same day she and her brother laid their father’s ashes to rest, Dena found it surprisingly easy to leave behind a country she never truly liked, in pursuit of a new life in a place she didn’t entirely know.

The documentary delves into the profound exploration of spiritual healing, driven by Dena’s personal narrative and her quest to reconcile the complexities of caregiving, loss, and the search for meaning. As a former teacher, and caregiver to her father, Dena’s journey serves as the emotional core of the film, illuminating the transformative power of duty, love, and curiosity.
