A young, passionate-about-art, ambitious student signs up for an art class in which he paints several masterpieces that reflect his original ideas. He manages to finish one painting a class, but his strict and negative professor breaks his canvases and paints an ?X? on them because he doesn?t think they?re good enough, preventing the artist from unleashing his potential.

The logline sets up a problem, but not a plot.? And it presents the protagonist as a passive victim of others.? Well, a protagonist can start out that way, but during the course of the story he should ?become a proactive agent of his own destiny.?? The switch from being passive to proactive?can be a framework?for?a plot.

So ?what?does?the aspiring artists do –what becomes his objective goal?– as a result of the overly critical teacher?
