Seems to me to be a rather predictable, all too common plot with all too obvious plot points. If there is 1, there are probably 1,001 scripts collecting dust, going nowhere except into trashcans in Hollyweird about some guy trying to make himself a winner and win the girl by breaking into show biz.

Why not flip the plot backwards and inside out for something different? Like: A wild and crazy comedian abandons her career to enroll in business school and win the heart of the man of her dreams, a shy but reliable accountant.

It might have more comedy potential.

His transfer to Jamaica seems unimportant to the plot.

“After falling for a famous comedian, a shy accountant enters a national comedy championship to win her heart.”

I second dpg’s comments that the plot is neither particularly original, nor particularly compelling.

Agreed with Nick and DPG about the originality aspect and further to DPG’s comments about it being flipped inside out very true that would make a more interesting plot. Legally Blond came close only the dream guy was a good looking athletic popular guy but similar sentiment.
