Best you specify the danger these bad guys are posing. Also, if you could connect the bad guys to the original head injury it would help. What if he was attacked by a team of specialists etc... now he must find and stop them but in order to do so, he has to decipher real from imaginary.

"Affecting reality" how?? ?What does that mean?? Greenpeace is trying to "affect reality" too, but that doesn't make them the bad guys because they are trying to do so in a positive way.
