    IOW: the government covers up the problem by having those who hear voices diagnosed as suffering from schizophrenia; the classic symptom is that sufferers hear voices.

    The technicall problem is that the disorder kicks in in late teens or early 20’s at the latest. ?Which is another reason why I ?think it would work better if the protagonist was the cop’s teenage son. ?That would apply a veneer of medical credibility to the concept ?And it would target the film to a more desirable (translation: lucrative) demographic, ?the teenage-young adult viewing market.

    Just saying.

    Yep, it's an interesting set up for a plot. ?But what's the plot that follows from his realization? And wouldn't it be the case that he's been sent from the future into the past to warn of a catastrophe to come?
