After a programming error a troubled AI developer is trapped in a lab as they struggle to teach their flawed AI the value of human life, and find their own humanity, so the AI does not destroy the world they intended for it to save.

This is a little confusing, is the AI scientist an AI himself? That seems weird. Or is he a scientist who programs AI's? Also, you say 'an' AI scientist, then later you say 'their', which is plural, so is there more than one scientist or are you simply using a genderless pronoun? it's confusing. I'mRead more

I’m going to try to decipher this and come up with a logline, but I will probably be a little off:
    —————————

“When the AI he created attempts to destroy the world, a programmer must reason with artificial brain by arguing the good of humanity, in hopes of stopping its genocidal plans.”

Is there an inciting incident to this story? Just curious. "When (This happens) a desperate man uses underground technology to transport himself to an alternate reality in order to secretly switch places with a spoiled and privileged version of himself."

In a post apocalyptic nuclear bunker – a guilt ridden AI program that triggered WWIII tries to convince the last man on earth to raise it’s “child”, an innocent AI that does not know war.

A logline is not about a choice that the protagonist has to make. A logline is about the goal, the obstacles, the stakes that follow from a choice the protagonist makes.

In this instance, it’s a no-brainer what his choice will be: he’s going to struggle to save the child. Right? So it’s not an authentic dramatic dilemma; there’s no suspense about what he will choose to do. It’s the morally right choice. And if he doesn’t make it, there’s no movie.

I suggest reworking the logline around the story hook: the AI program.
