A travelling taco truck smuggling psilocybin mushrooms encounters an interstellar hitchhiker on an interstate highway. Is this interplanetary visitor legit, and are his warnings of an impending alien apocalypse worth heeding?

My take, trying to keep it under 25:

Warned by an interstellar hitchhiker, two stoners in a taco truck must receive a psychedelic message on a mountain to stop aliens invading.

Heads up (and off topic). Various people (censors etc) tend to frown upon stuff that glorifies drug use too much. (Glorifies that is. E.g. in Breaking Bad, the actual drug *use* is seldom glorfied).

At some point, the heroes will have to question the morality of what they’re doing.

Psycho-active *chillies* though, hot enough to cause hallucinations, purchased in good faith by the heroes… that’s another matter 🙂

Overall, a minor point I guess. Other than that, your concept is pretty damn good!

I’ll chime in one last time then leave it to others-

I think its still a few words too long. The magic mushrooms and taco truck become less important here, more like a sideline:

After receiving an apocalyptic warning from an interstellar hitchhiker, two stoners must travel their beat-up taco-truck to High Peak Mountain to beam their psychedelic message before the incoming marauders engage their planet-cracking weapon of mass destruction!

BTW – it may have been said, but wouldn’t it be cool if the original logline post could be edited to reflect the latest worked version? I think that would be neat.

That’s good, a little long; but if you take anything out I think you will start to lose what makes your story unique.

I am curious what other readers it think.

      That’s really great!

      How about this:

After receiving an apocalyptic warning from an interstellar hitchhiker, two stoners smuggling magic mushrooms in a beat-up taco truck must travel to High Peak Mountain to beam their psychedelic message before the incoming marauders engage their planet-cracking weapon of mass destruction!

This is just me trying to re-insert ‘psychedelic’ into a logline.

I like this movie, I could see this as something Cheech and Chong would have done back in the day.

I would go with “Two Stoners”

      How about this:

“After receiving an apocalyptic warning from an interstellar hitchhiker, Two stoners smuggling magic mushrooms in a taco truck must save the earth before end becomes nigh.”

      Good point.

      What about:

Mike and Rich, two stoners smuggling a concealment of magic mushrooms in a taco truck, encounter an interstellar traveller with an apocalyptic warning.

Initially passing the humanlike alien off as just another crazy drifter, his predictions become too accurate to ignore, causing the unlikely trio to set off on a psychedelic journey to save planet Earth.

A traveling taco truck meets an interstellar hitchhiker? How do they communicate?
