True – great feedback. It is going to be a black comedy – starts as a surprise trip home for her sisters wedding where she gets really drunk and embarrasses herself and ends in a family fight with Annabelle always caught in the middle of her dysfunctional family.

Richiev is right here as we have no idea what the genre is intending to be and only know the story as a woman goes home to a family she doesn’t get along with. Why is she going home? What is her plan whilst she is there? What is in her way and what must she learn? If it is monsters add it in so we know it is a horror. If it is a former boyfriend add it in so we know it is a romance film.

At the minute it is far too vague and we need to know more. It’s great keeping it short but we still need to know the journey to be taken.

Hello Amanda, We need a little more to this logline because at the moment, I’m not sure if you are describing “The Exorcist” or “Rachael Getting Married.”

Does her return home cause old family arguments and hurt feelings to resurface or does she go home only to find her family’s been possessed blood sucking demons that she must battle?

With a some changes hopefully your logline will more clearly reflect the story you are telling.

Hope that helped, good luck with this!
