Interesting idea, but I think we’ve seen this movie in several incarnations. I don’t see anything new about it, except the helicopter. If the helicopter crashes, it can’t fight anymore, so there’s no novelty. Sorry to be a downer. I like Richiev’s suggestion of an aspiring VP though, but still….

In fact, in this version, the President finds out the Vice President was the one who had the plane sabotaged. It was all a plot to take power. At the end of the movie the President takes him out as well.

Not tainting, giving a time limit. Not only must the President fight his way out but he only has so much time to do it. You know, throwing another rock into the tree.

Agree with Patrockd. The President has to get out of enemy’s territory and his only way to escape from there is to kill the terrorists and these were terrorist he had vowed to capture with the use of American military but now needs to do it all be himself.

no. youre tainting something beautiful. he doesnt need another reason to “fight he way out”. survival is enough. its raw. its primal. people get it!

      How about this:

“When the American President crashes in enemy territory, he must fight he way out before his opportunistic vice president declares himself the commander in chief.”

      Love it!
Basically its:When the president crash lands in enemy territory, he must go rambo to survive..

.Ridiculously short yet everything is there: Protag, stakes, goal, obstacles, inciting incident, + strong sense of genre (action) + bonus points for putting a chatacter in a situation thats the complete opposite of what hes used to!

Even better if you could work some IRONY and/or hint at an inmer journey… perhaps hes pro peace? Perhaps he starts off secretly unsympathetic to American soldiers? I like the whole promise idea too. Lots of opportunities for social commentary in the movie too 🙂

      An elegant, high concept logline!

The U.S president assures people that the remaining al quaeda terrorists will be killed. He then boards a chopper to leave from Iraq to U.S , that’s when his chopper crashes and falls into the enemy’s (al quaeda) territory. Now he must fight his way out from there all by himself.

Sounds bland, but with Harrison Ford or Liam Neeson, this could be great!

I think this might be an idea for an animated film. A fighting helicopter sounds awesome.
