He was Jewish. I just looked it up. They didn’t like the idea of a Jew being voted for that. He also refused to play for them.
I don’t know why the Nazis would want him dead? Is there some sort of direct link between him being voted sportsman of the century and his execution? Could you elaborate in that in the logline?
At the moment your protagonist is awfully passive; what is his goal in the story?
