In order for this logline to work we need to understand how, “To begin a new life and to protect her former identity,” relates to “an ex-spy must undertake a perilous journey into a land beset with civil war and unearthly disaster”
How does traveling to this land help her begin her new life.
Is she going on her own? Did someone send her there? Is someone threatening to expose her identity if she doesn’t go? Is there something she must accomplish when she gets to this land? What land?
Her reason for going, her goal when she get’s there and the stakes if she fails are all good things to add to your logline.
Also, I am not sure what you mean by “unearthly disaster” was the land hit by a meteor?

her side has lost the war, she returns to her homeland (which is now occupied by the enemy) to try and ‘come in from the cold’ – the job is a fetch quest that will put her in a position of strength if successful. It involves going to a an area of the country where the war has restarted which means trying to not killed by either side. I have the outline and several drafts of the script done, but loglining it has been a bit of a challenge 🙂
