When a brash college photographer sneaks into Vietnam to find her G.I. boyfriend and his squad in order to prove her worth, she then has to make it out of the jungle alone after she captures some incriminating photos.

Nice
Very interesting. I get the feeling that she sneaks into Vietnam as a somewhat foolish lark and then gets a lot more than she bargained for–is that what you were going for? I would like to know a bit more about your phase “to prove her worth.” How does that play out in your story?
@almittey,
your comment about “gets a lot more than she bargained for” is correct. She thinks finding her boyfriend and taking pics of his squad in war will not only be simple but noteworthy. But she captures something she shouldn’t.
She needs “to prove her worth”, because her college professor tells her, she is not good enough for a recommendation from him and after seeing pics of another students of the Watts riots, tells her she lacks true comittment.
