too vague.
what ghost?
what killer?
I think you need a little more detail. How about something like this:
‘When a newspaper reporter is driven mad by dreams of the ghost of a beautiful woman, he must track down her killer and bring him/her to justice to relieve his nightmares and restore his sanity.’
The girls ghost. You find out who the killer is later.
The newspaper reporter doesn’t add to the story at the moment, a man, works and removes unneeded detail. You now have room for detail that moves the story further action and goal.
Why not a cop, a detective haunted, metaphorically and literally, by an unsolved murder?
