A match to the death of what? Tennis, Ping Pong, Parcheesi?
This is quite vague and seems to describe a scene or sequence as opposed to a film. Why has he been entered to fight? What is the world they live in like? Is it just one fight or is it a series of obstacle like The Running Man? The main journey of the film has to be highlighted in this log line and so far I feel it is just a segment.
Maybe this way?
After he killed the Spetsnaz boss/stole the money/spit on the Hitlers grave, ex-SEAL soldier Trent is dragged into a deathmatch tournament against whole Spetsnaz commando which he must win, or he will never see his wife alive ever again.
