The Story seems a bit odd, but from a logline standpoint all the elements are there as long as the captain is the lead character. (Which it appears to be from reading the longline)
“When the entire 9th grade turn into robots overnight”
There are millions of 9th graders in the world. How are they all going to fit on the captain’s boat? I would tweak that line for clarity, Do you mean all 9th graders or specific 9th graders?
Also, you don’t need “overnight” unless it’s key to the conclusion of the movie.
BOAT???? haha thanks for that insight Richiev.
I didn’t realize “captain” was such a poor word choice… I didn’t mean sea captain but class captain i.e. the class president! In my school they were called captains so it totally missed that.
He was voted class president for the wrong reasons – he had swagger and a cool hair cut, but when he becomes a hunted robot (along with the rest of his class), he learns what it truly means to lead.
And yes good 2nd comment – its only one class of 9th graders. So take two is:
When a class of 9th graders turn into robots, their brash class president must lead them to an underwater fortress before the military destroys them.
