You might want to do some legal homework: if the divorce was granted in Canada, that's where the alimony payments have to be litigated. US courts have no jurisdiction. If she is an American, but the divorce was granted in Canada, it still has to be litigated in Canadian courts.

Title suggestion: Ice Ice baby

A charming, quirky, charismatic or divorced Canadian. Or a word on his profession. I still question the need to impart the LA and alimony part of his ex in the logline.

The white Canadian fortyish male who's ex has moved to LA, so kind of a "Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" character but as your comments imply I am struggling to impart that. Any ideas.

A Canadian ? Maybe you could fill that one in for more clarity. For me, being totally blank on the rap scene, your logline is confusing in the sense of the second line -contesting his alimony payments in LA-. If I leave that part out the logline is suddenly clear and more strong.

Titel suggestion? In a short Google on bi-coastal rap wars I came across the titel of the song "Who shot ya?
