Also the stakes seem low, what's the worst that would happen should they fail?
Is the general a mass murder killing at will? Or is he in control of nukes? There needs to be more than just a standard mission, it has to be an "or else" situation.

It would strengthen the marketability of the concept if it were based on or at least "inspired by" ?a real historical incident. ?Like "Windwalkers" (2002) which was based on the actual historical fact that by speaking in their native tongue, Navajo radio techs provided a way of broadcasting military intelligence that the Japanese could not decrypt.
