dpg: Yes that's true, and that's why I have some problem with the logline/ story. :)
I just have the idea that a person needs a family and hire one.
That's why I also test this logline:
'When a smart lonesome charlatan uses a rented family as pawns for a grand scheme, he finds their love is profoundly changing him for the better.'
In view of the rapid strides in gay rights in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand, the need for a gay person to "rent a family" seems to be a less credible concept. Unless the setting for the country is a country and culture where traditional values and prejudices for hetero marriages and against gays still prevail.
