Regarding bounties, I may be wrong, but if a dead or alive poster is put up then anyone who brings them in should get the bounty? I have in my mind that he will be trained up in the life by a veteran, so should get work.

I think the concept has potential for compelling character arc. But... if he's a sheltered and retiring nice guy, why would anyone hire him to be a bounty hunter? Before he can take the job, doesn't somebody have to be willing to offer it to him?
