I have a simple question about one script I’m currently working on: it has 10 short stories all based in Greece in different cities and areas. Maybe you know the movies “New York, I love you” and “Paris, je t’aime”. Basically, it is such a script, but located in Greece. Do you think this type of script is marketable in any way? And should I write one logline for the whole script or 10 different ones for each story? Thank you for your help in advance! Savas

Are they interconnected? Do they share characters, genres, all in the same universe? If not, it would likely be easier to sell them all on their on merit, as separate short films. Are they interconnected? Do they share characters, genres, all in the same universe? If not, it would likely be easier to sell them all on their on merit, as separate short films. For marketability, all I can say is that it would be easier to get it made if you had some experience, a presence in the business. Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction wasn’t his first film, and it is different than what typical movie is like, the way it focuses on different characters and plotlines.
As for a logline, more specifics would help to determine how to best craft one.

This story sounds interesting, but the logline can be polished. Just points:

Age descriptions don’t help. Age can be implied through other adjectives and it doesn’t tell the logline reader anything about the plot or something important about the characters. Using personality traits, especially flaws, is better.

You’re only focusing on the parents? Sure, they have to go through these trials, but what does this Kalki do? Does he/she have supernatural powers? I think there’s a possibility the Kalki would have a more interesting story.

For general information on forming a logline review the Formula tab at the top of the page.

First of all, there’s too much background and extra ?description and not enough specific description of the plot.

Basically, this is the story: “a film receives an award for being the best Hindi film of the century, but no one claims the award. Intrigued by this fact, an enthusiastic film journalist embarks on a journey to find out what happened to the maker of this classic ”

No one claims it? A lot of people work on a film. Producers, directors, actors. Not a single person claims it or explains what happened? I assume you’re referring to the director of this film, but no one? How old is this film?

Anyway, how is “an enthusiastic film journalist embarks on a journey to find out what happened to the maker of this classic” represented visually on screen? What would we see? Where does he journey to?

Your logline boils down to:?After no one claims an award for best Hindi film of the century, an enthusiastic film journalist goes on a journey to find the makers of the film and find out what happened.

But I am questioning the logic and credibility of the premise.
