As presented, the logline sets up a situation for a plot but it doesn’t follow through with a complete statement of a plot.? A plot is not just about a characters “finding? themselves” in a predicament.? It’s about what they must do about it.? ?Must they hike their way out or fight their way out?

And by overcome and struggling I refer to an objective goal.? ?”Coming out her shell” is a general phrase relating to her internal subjective issue.? And that is important element in drama; that is what must be resolved in order to achieve an objective goal.
But a logline is a statement of an objective goal that must be achieved — not the subjective problem that must be overcome.? So she must come out of her shell in order to accomplish what objective goal?? (And what are the stakes?)

How did she land not one but two leading roles?? Didn't she have to audition for them?? Isn't that the SOP for casting leads?? So didn't she have to already "step outside her shell" just to get the roles??(Also, it's standard practice that characters for fictional stories are not named in loglines.Read more
