After an experiment-gone-wrong leaves a scientist broken and hurt, the scientist looks for a new place and a new life where he can belong.
We need to know how how the experiment went so wrong and how exactly it leaves him "broken and hurt" such that he MUST look for a new place to to live and belong. Why can't he just start over where he is?And what makes it a sci-fi? genre story?

After several mysterious deaths in a retirement community, a retired detective romances the prime suspect to solve the case.
The plot twist/complication is he falls in love with her.? What should he trust, his heart or his head?
