What is the young woman’s objective goal?
In a plot there can be only one.? There may be milestones along the way that have to be reached to arrive at the final destination that constitutes objective goal.? And for certain, there will be complications, obstacles that stand in the way of realizing the objective goal.
But a plot is driven by one overarching objective goal.? And a logline is about that singular (not plural) overarching goal.
So either her overarching objective goal is to fulfill her grandmother’s last wish or? it is to reconnect with her dysfunctional family.? Which one is it?
I’m assuming it’s the former, that her objective goal is to fulfill the last wish.? Therefore, reconciling with her dysfunctional family is a complication, a hurdle that must be overcome to fulfilling that wish.
And if that is so, must she reconcile by the end of the funeral?? Is that the ticking clock? If she fails to do so, does this mean she will never, ever have another opportunity to fulfill the promise?
