IMHO: these stories seems to work better when they are based on upon the struggle of real people recovering from real life accidents.? IMHO: these stories seems to work better when they are based on upon the struggle of real people recovering from real life accidents.? Like the new independent movie, “The Rider” about an Indian rodeo rider’s struggle to recover from a nearly fatal head injury after being thrown from a horse.? Truth is not only stranger than fiction — it is also more compelling because the people, the situations, the emotions are authentic — not made up.

For this premise to be marketable, the script needs a unique twist, a strong story hook. And I just don’t see one.

If she's unhappily married in real life and falling in love with some one more appealing in the fantastic world of the painting, why would she want to go back to reality?? What is her motivation, her dramatic need?? As currently framed, the premise gives her every reason to stay in the painting.

Unfortunately, the premise is flawed.? Being declared insane won't get him off the legal hook.? ?He? will still be arrested. tried and convicted.? That's the way it works.? All that being declared insane might do is mitigate his sentence.? He might get a life sentence instead of the death penalty.
