    Proposed logic: A Latin student buys a package to experience/work in the USA during her college off-season. When she arrives in the states to work, her employment is threatened which means she will lose her recoup $ thus she must stay employed or bust.

    I did some research on Work & Travel USA, some packages were 20K USD, but they are also known for their “preparation” so DenniseKJ you would need something extreme to throw their model off to end up in her situation – like a pandemic?
    Please clarify.

    Things that make me go "hmm". Why would this dad/teacher need to protect his daughter if it was self-defense? Why would he need to cover it up? It's already "too late" - a murder has been committed.
