    I’ll have to lose some words and can only think of cultural divide, which I liked, but I guess it is implicit that an outback truck driver and city writer will face a cultural divide ….

Or, perhaps is wife is the weird one, in which case he needs to find a way to leave her. I think once you have a better idea of what is going on here you will be able to write a logline. When … something happens … to the flawed protagonist … he will have to dig deep … to overcome his affliction … and find happiness (achieve his goal). What is his goal?
