    Hi - I think this is well formed already, with a little tweak it'll be a thumbs up.     This is a comedy so the obits are revealing something humorous but you say the “deaths he writes about expose truths in his own life.” This is too vague. Are they truths? Or are they funny? Try giving an example of what the truths are, especially if it’s the theme of the story (learns to laugh at oneself). I don’t think “on a deadline” is relevant since you couldn’t tell us the consequences of missing the deadline with any brevity.

    When a Middle Eastern country is plunged into religious turbulence and war, two men seek a resolve. One, a scientist, finds anthropological reasons for the war while another, a civil servant, tries to solve the war by creating a new political s.ystem.
