if my understanding is correct, there was only two persons in the original Logline: the cyber-terrorist and the arrogant gamer. Maybe it is badly phrased, but to me the suspect is the cyber-terrorist.

What I would question is why would any good guy want to retrieve nuclear launch code. Good guys don’t launch nuclear bomb on unsuspected civilians. However they tend to try to stop bad guys detonating bombs. Hence Good Guys more likely ?want the location of the bomb or the abort code if the countdown has already started.

Blindspot uses tattoo as weekly starting point of an investigation, so why not conspiracy theory posted by a manic but brilliant boyfriend, with Asperger syndrome and unbelievable talent to recognise patterns. The boyfriend could play the same role than the machine is playing in the TV serie?Person of Interest. Giving lead to a NSA team to investigate. He unknowingly gives assignments.
One way I can see that working as a serie is if boyfriend is unaware that she is a NSA agent and she uses his wild conspirator theories as source. Every week, a genius but socially awkward boyfriend discovers something weird on Internet, the dark web, newspaper, gumtree, she investigates and saves the day. As he does not know, the recurring theme will be trying to hide that information from him.
You can even have an episode where he is kidnapped because he investigated by himself some conspiracy that the NSA rejected.
Another episode where a bad team is recruiting genius by posting puzzle.
if he knows and is part of the team, then maybe you can change the relationship from boyfriend to brother. She is just his sister and legal guardian who protects him. He is fighting for his own independence and being respected by the rest of the team.

One of my favourite movie about a chancer who uses his roguish charm to climb the social ladder, before falling in love with his target and ending up rejected is?Barry Lyndon. That movie was superb for his time. The soundtrack is really the thing that transform that movie into a great melancholic tragedy.

Anyway, personally I would flip the script. Make the naive socialite the main character. She is new and introduced to a world of shark. Will she sink or swim? Her “loss of innocence” journey seems to have more mileage. A good movie on that very theme is?House of Games,?a well known David Mamet movie.
It flips the script in the sense that the initially naive psychologist finally reveals herself to be a thrill seeking sociopath.
