Try to flip the protagonist around. The Punk is the active character while Josef is the passive.

"Stuck in the middle of nowhere, a rebellious punk befriends a bitter (occupation)** while trying to get to her big audition on time."

This is the concept in its simplest form. A logline isn't concrete, get creative and experiment.

What is he mourning? What is the travel deal exactly? Isn't his car broken? How is he going to drive her? Is it her car? In which case, why doesn't she just drive herself? What sort of audition is it? Why does the protagonist need to get home so bad?
