Your hero fights "aliens" (alternate universe invaders) to save humanity. What's fresh about this? Audiences didn't buy it when Spielberg and Lucas tried to pass off aliens as "inter-dimensional beings" so this isn't going to be a strong enough hook to make anyone believe this is an original enough idea to fund.
