on The Devil at My Door. A young woman is visited by a messenger with news about the death of her husband. The messenger, she perceives is the Devil himself. Everything she knows about the fighting in the Middle East was grizzly and tragic. From the media and her husband’s letters, she learned to have nothing but contempt and hatred for these tyrants who had no regard for their own people. And now, one of these people were at her door.

The widow begins to relearn and rediscover her deceased husband through the words and eyes of this messenger. Dahni is in a sense, the main character.
