His faltering faith could certainly be part of the story (as a result of the persuasive arguments — and charms –of the America captive) but I ‘m not certain it’s necessary for the logline.? It seems to me the??core of the dramatic dilemma is embodied in the stakes character — the female hostage whose life he must save.

Save before it’s too late:? I tossed in a ticking clock to amp up dramatic tension and urgency.? Whatever deadline you find suitable, I think the story needs to have a ticking clock.? He only has “X” amount of time — and it’s not enough– to find a away? to free her (and himself).

Anyway, this is a movie I would like to see.? Best wishes.

?In the desolate future, when a carefree and adventurous teenager is suddenly forced from his underground bunker into the world outside, he will have to mature quickly if he is to survive both the wilderness and the rogues that inhabit it.?

As the others have said. This story sets up a plot where the young man doesn't come out from the underground on his own initiative in quest of a specific objective goal..? He’s pushed out? and he’s gotta grow up fast if he’s going to survive hostile forces.??But “to mature quickly ” is?his subjective need — it doesn’t constitute a objective goal.

And ” if he is to survive ” is only a maintenance goal; he’s reacting to a hostile environment .? Well, the main character can start out with only a maintenance goal, but?the plot proper kicks in?when something? happens –an inciting incident — that galvanizes him to? struggle for??something more than mere survival.? At that point he becomes a protagonist proactively pursuing a?specific objective goal.

So I?perceive a possible problem of product differentiation.? That is, what does this story have to say about suicide that hasn’t already been said?? Possibly over and over?? What makes?this story?stand out from the 37 other loglines with a suicidal element?

?Is there?some new?fresh?(and compassionate) insight into the “transformative journey” out of the dark abyss?into the light?
