Bruce Ismay was ontop of the world until he took one single step off the doomed RMS Titanic and fought the rest of his life to save its memory and his legacy

Agree with the above, but we still don't have enough for a story here. His life was not viewed as brave or honorable, so what? Cameron infused a love story into the Titanic and used the ill fated voyage as the backdrop for it to foster. The sinking was the tension and time bomb that the audience knows but the players don’t.

    It worked marvelously.

What does your story have to tell and in what time frame?

GStar, I would lose the whole beginning of this log which will help to compact things. You don't want to mention "chosen" because it is passive and not active. A young genius competes in a robotics meet... But her mentor's past threatens to ruin her chances of winning... She must prove his innocenceRead more

    GStar,

I would lose the whole beginning of this log which will help to compact things.

You don’t want to mention “chosen” because it is passive and not active.

A young genius competes in a robotics meet…

But her mentor’s past threatens to ruin her chances of winning…

    She must prove his innocence…

Or have zero chances of winning…

Here are your core elements from above. It would be nice to mention the mother, but probably not enough room to.

You are telling us what they did, not what we can see them do if we go on the story of your film.
