Tell us what this guy is going to do about it. Although there’s a 48% chance that he’ll do absolutely nothing about it at all and be perfectly delirious about this new development. You’ve only told us he’s a young man… that’s it. To make this a story he should be a fiercely loyal Remainer and he sees how terrible the future would be if the UK stayed in the EU… OR he’s a campaigning Brexiteer and he sees how good the future ends up if the UK stayed in. Either way, there MUST be some conflict. His world view must be challenged. Otherwise you simply have no story.

Writing a story about something like this, in my mind, has to be making a statement about it. What are you trying to say about Brexit?

As Richiev suggested, this logline is currently incomplete.

“When he wakes up in an alternate 2016 where the UK voted to remain in the EU, a staunch Brexiteer must…”

    Hope this helps.

What happens next? This, to me, is simply the inciting incident so we need to know what either the married couple do next or what the field-agent does next. The alternative is that the whole "gunpoint" bit is actually where they end up in act III. If that's the case then we need to know more about wRead more

The alternative is that the whole “gunpoint” bit is actually where they end up in act III. If that’s the case then we need to know more about what happens before that.

When a mortgage field-agent threatens to repossess their farm, an ageing married couple must…..

And then tell us what they must do to stop this happening.

    Hope this helps.
