Liberal Cardinal Bergoglio tries to convince Pope Benedict XVI to accept his resignation, unaware the conservative pontiff is sizing up his harshest critic to lead the Catholic Church after his shock departure.

It was important to me to get across they had opposing ideologies. I take on board your comment though. Perhaps just "Liberal" would suffice. The frustration he feels is probably obvious by his desire to resign and the fact he is Pope Benedict's harshest critic.

Agree with Han_Heya. There's a lot of "she" and "her" in here. It's quite difficult to follow who's doing what. If the widow is the protagonist, write it all from her perspective. There’s a lot of “she” and “her” in here. It’s quite difficult to follow who’s doing what.

If the widow is the protagonist, write it all from her perspective. If it’s the deranged young woman, from hers. If the deranged young woman is the protagonist, I struggle to see how an audience is going to connect with a deranged woman who viciously goes after things. If the devoted widow is the protagonist… well I have no idea of what the set up for her is other than she is a devoted widow.

Who owned the heirloom to begin with?

It’s a little muddled at the moment. I’m struggling to see connections between the elements. Currently, I feel I could simplify this as “When her heirloom goes missing, a crazy lady stalks the woman she thinks took it and tries to get it back”. ?Is that right?

Despite my previous review on an earlier logline, here is a perfect example of where ambiguity can actually help. “if it was ever real” tells us exactly the sort of film to expect. It only offers ambiguity to the conclusion of the film though. That’s key. It doesn’t take anything away from the rest of the plot.

Whilst it is definitely a SciFi, I would say that it’s key genre is Romance. The core elements of the story are all about love. The SciFi elements merely provide a setting.
