    Ciaran,
    Welcome aboard.

Please read the ‘Formula’ tab up top for more information about logline conventions.

Also, please read the ‘Rules’ section. I moderated your posts by deleting the loglines that had the least number of comments from other users. Please refrain from blanket covering the first few pages with your concepts and stick to the community guideline of 2 reviews for each logline you post. This way other people can benefit from your thoughts on their loglines and have the opportunity to have their loglines in the top spots of the first few pages.

Can?t find it, can?t fix it, he?s a cop, now he has to fix or he?s done so taking on an unsolved murder, not well-suited for, but it?s tied to his solution only he?s not prepared to face or overcome the haunting truth about himself or her.

The primary function of a logline is to describe a plot - actions taken towards a goal. The above describes a character but not actions and goals. Check out the 'Formula' tab on the top bar for more details about logline conventions.

It would be best to orientate the plot so as to make the MC take action for the sake of the future, not the past. It would be best to orientate the plot so as to make the MC take action for the sake of the future, not the past. In other words, instead of having her wanting to uncover the reason behind her mother’s death make her want to stop the killer or reason from happening again.

Also, best to redefine the inciting incident as a killing this will immediately spur the MC into action.

Lastly, “…mysterious circumstances…” mean very little in a logline, it’s the details of said circumstances that count. What is it that happens?
