Understood, logically at some point other people on Earth either hear signal as well or become aware of the aliens. If they don't then the main character could just be going mad, only then it'll have the cliche moment when the audience are told - 'it was all in his head' which could be a weak twist.Read more

Understood, logically at some point other people on Earth either hear signal as well or become aware of the aliens. If they don’t then the main character could just be going mad, only then it’ll have the cliche moment when the audience are told – ‘it was all in his head’ which could be a weak twist.

I suggest you add a hint of irony to the mystery.

What if the physicist is also, unbeknown to him, part alien, and therefore is the only person on Earth that can understand the alien language. He is then perfectly qualified for being the only man on Earth who can stop them and the whole situation becomes imbued with mystery due to his strange connection with?the aliens.

Post edit, most of the same comments still apply. What is the goal, in detail, that the main character needs to achieve? How will she know her career has been jump started? Is it a Pulitzer prize she must win? Or a specific job offer she is after with one of the bigger news outlets? What ever it isRead more

What is the goal, in detail, that the main character needs to achieve? How will she know her career has been jump started? Is it a Pulitzer prize she must win? Or a specific job offer she is after with one of the bigger news outlets? What ever it is it needs to be specified?in the logline.

Why is she desperate now? What?s the inciting incident that motivates her to need to jump start her career? This needs clarification in the logline.

Generic descriptions such as ??connected to the local, powerhouse college football program.? should be avoided, as they lack details necessary for a clear plot description.

I don't think you understand the nature of my comment, the intention was to point?you in another direction; if a women gets kidnapped, what else can she do other than stealing from her grandfather as appose to her current goal? It's just a question aimed at broadening the thinking to help you separaRead more

It’s just a question aimed at broadening the thinking to help you separate this concept from another film of the same premise, yet still deal with similar subject matter.
