I think storyutbildningen's version of the logline is tighter. "When a penniless London raver (?) gets his hands on a suitcase full of money, he must escape the Yakuza agent sent to retrieve it." Which reveals to us a gap in the logline - WHY? Why must he escape? Why not just give it back? Why shoulRead more

Which reveals to us a gap in the logline – WHY? Why must he escape? Why not just give it back? Why should I feel sorry for him, just because he’s poor, if his life is in danger? Perhaps he’s not just penniless – the threat of a Yakuza enacted death needs to pale in comparison to the fate he will suffer WITHOUT the money.

How is the midsummer celebration interrupted by the bank robbers? Why is the writer not at the party with his friends, such that he is not caught? Why would a writer possess the skills to save them - is he a washed up crime writer? Did he write Die Hard knock offs and now he has to prove he has theRead more

How is the midsummer celebration interrupted by the bank robbers? Why is the writer not at the party with his friends, such that he is not caught? Why would a writer possess the skills to save them – is he a washed up crime writer? Did he write Die Hard knock offs and now he has to prove he has the chops? (Kind of Die Hard meets The Three Amigos in that sense). Why is it up to the writer and not the cops? Are the thieves really murderers as well?

What is he mourning? What is the travel deal exactly? Isn’t his car broken? How is he going to drive her? Is it her car? In which case, why doesn’t she just drive herself? What sort of audition is it? Why does the protagonist need to get home so bad?
