YOKO – Based on true events – Told from Japanese artist Yoko Ono’s perspective – The story of how she and Megastar John Lennon fell in love in 1966 and the incredibly powerful forces that tried to tear them apart.
Instead of telling us the story is told from the point of view of Yoko, you should just write the logline from Yoko's point of view. This would be a very poor example of a logline written from Yoko's POV: (Yours would be different and hopefully better) -----------------------------------------------Read more

ROCKY ROAD – An overweight weekend warrior basketball player gets a once in a lifetime chance to play Lebron James one-on-one in a bout in which he strives to hold his own for his self-respect.
The problem with this logline is something you will see in real life When a pro NBA player, plays with a non NBA player, they always take it easy. They go easy on them and let the non-pro look good. When a pro NBA player, plays with a non NBA player, they always take it easy. They go easy on them and let the non-pro look good.
I can’t see LeBron James going all out. For this logline to work you would have to add why Lebron would take the game seriously.
Mystery Alaska did it well. A no-name team from Alaska gets to play the New York Rangers for respect. So it can be done, but I would add some motivation for Lebron in the logline.

I would note that in mine I added that the jock was popular as well as dumb.
That makes more sense, You have two characters who are opposite:
The lead character is a genius but has no social skills
The Jock gets along with everyone, but isn’t that bright
As a result you have both conflict (Because they are opposite) and as the story develops, both characters learn something from the experience and gain mutual respect.

Now you could actually add one more element. The lead is a girl. she is this awkward but super intelligent social outcast. She has her eyes on the most popular boy in school.
she hires this easy going, not so bright jock who get’s along with everyone
Over the course of the story the audience will see that she really belongs with him not her crush.
