I think a better arc for these nerd besties would be to fight for the “out of their league” attractive girl next door – would love to see that S**T show 😉

I envision them throwing the pens from their pocket protectors like Chinese stars, or a workout scene that involves a hot personal trainer that eventually gets the attractive girl, stuff like that.
