You have the paranormal investigator as the protagonist.

Most of the time when a group of unsuspecting guests are invited to spend the night in a haunted mansion, the person who invites them all is the bad guy. That's alright but as stated above we would really need a convincing reason in the logline to pull for your lead character.

What if the hopeless paranormal investigator and his guest celebrity get stuck in a haunted house with a killer ghost. That's an inciting incident that creates a high stakes situation, and demands that these under qualified clowns take action. I can see how that could make for a pretty good comedy premise, it could be a genre cross over between comedy and paranormal.
Not sure if that's the story you want to tell, but just a thought on how to use the same subject matter.

I don't think 'threaten to cancel' is strong enough a catalyst. Also 'execs' sounds anonymous, not cinematic.

Can you make 'to restore interest in his show' more specific and?appealing? Why would anyone go see a movie that's just about a TV host trying to get his (old) audience back?

And 'clueless celebrity' doesn't promise me anything unique or exciting. Aren't most TV celebrities pretty clueless? Perhaps that's me being biased...

When I read your logline, it feels as if the?second act is going to be a lot of TV footage where a celebrity is being stupid. Can you sustain this for an hour?
