A detective fiction writer becomes convinced her lover’s death wasn’t a suicide and must prove his brilliant wife is a killer before becoming the next victim.
Funny you said that - I just tweaked to “crime fiction writer” and “detective wife” or maybe it should be “detective widow” but that sounds kind of funny to me. I’m liking the idea of two strong female leads battling…

Convinced by prominent comedians that marriage will make him funnier, a struggling comic takes their joke seriously and elopes only to find his bride wants a marriage so peaceful that in order to find the comedy in it, he’ll have to up his game.
Picturing this I can only see the guy coming off as mean not funny if the wife is perfect. I think she needs to have her own goal/motivation a la How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. I do…

When a mistress learns her lover has died and his death erroneously ruled a suicide, she must untangle the true cause of his death.
Another attempt: An ex-detective turned lonely housewife feels alive again when she sleeps with an old flame, but when he ends up dead she must hunt the killer before she’s next.

On the eve of her final night at an urgent care center, an opiate-dependent nurse practitioner must overcome her addiction to fight off a gang of violent teen junkies, fiending for the stash of narcotics.
Building on earlier comments how about: When a gang of violent junkies overtake security at an Urgent Care center, an opiate-dependent nurse injects herself with NarCan (?) to sober up and start fighting back.

A shy movie fan and his crush are magically pulled into a 1930s adventure film and must race a power gangster to a legendary treasure in order to return to the real world.
If we knew what the treasure was would it explain why that thing can bring them back to the real world? I really like the premise but I'd like to understand the connection.

A successful, married spends a night with a woman during a business trip, only to wake up mugged, a few days later the woman is a candidate in a job interview conducted by him and his wife.
I saw the comments but still don't understand the story. It seems the wife is actually your protagonist and has set him up, but then what? She's already successfully nailed her cheating husband. What's next? Where's the continuing conflict?

What's the conflict throughout this movie? Is the woman-theif now blackmailing the man for a job? What's the job?
