Interesting ... original ... but I don't understand why the band has been kidnapped, nor the relationship between the kidnapping and the online game - or how an online game can result in real world consequences.

Personally, I liked the idea of a tuba player. I imagined the fat kid who usually get picked on. For once the perfect bully victim was the hero. Not very physical, but smart and kind. "Piggy" (see Lord of the Fly), saves the day, gets the girl and become a national hero. Imagine "Samwell Tarly" from "Games of Thrones".

Thanks for the feedback. There are several movies with similar ideas, 'Surviving the game', 'The Running man', and on Buffy the Vampire slayer there was an episode where a weird assortment of killers hunted her and Cordelia.

This is meant to be a B movie send up. A weird assortment of serial killers hunting band members, (Still in uniform) through the woods.

As for the internet, you bring up a great point. The killers get more points for creative kills. It could be voted on by those watching on the internet. As the movie progresses I see the "Shy Tuba Player" getting put on the board as he begins to fight back. Using his skills to set up traps.

I changed it to piccolo player because it's a more diminutive token of the protagonist's personality and group status than a tuba. And small enough for him to carry with him as they escape.

And use to imitate bird sounds for communication (per the mockingjays in "The Hunger Games") in the thick of the forest (and darkness?). Thus what symbolizes his weakness in Act 1 becomes a source of strength and survival by Act 3.

After you've explained it a little more thoroughly, I think you've got a good concept together. Questions:

1. Those watching this online - do they know it's real, or are they stereotypical basement trolls super excited over comic/movie violence and have no clue it's real?
2. What is the reason for the serial killers targeting these band kids?

It's got a lot of "Jeepers Creepers meets Red Dawn", which I really like. I just feel like more can be revealed with adjectives.

How will the online part work, people just watch or is there interaction?
Do People vote on a website to decide who will be the next prey?
Or do the serial killers compete against each other to kill the highest number of victims?
I would change serial killers into extreme hunters.
It looks like a rewrite of "The most dangerous game" (the 1932 version the 1945 is terrible) where Count Zaroff hunts shipwreck survivors. It was also badly remake in "Hard Target" by John Woo. I had so much hope for a movie by John Woo with Jean- Claude Van Damme, Lance Henricksen and Yancy Butler. I left the cinema crushed by that pile of steaming ...
The original with that psychological aspect is a master piece.
Is it more like a psychological thriller or a gory a la "Hostel" and later "Saw" type of movie?

I am re-reading the logline and wondering if "online" is confusing.

The serial killers capture the band at a rest stop, set fire to their bus and kill the band leader. The band is then given a 10 minutes head start into the woods and hunted.

It's all filmed live and uploaded online.

The leader of the killers refers to his online show as "Schlock fest!" The wide assortment of killers not only receive points for number of kills but creativity.

Of course after the initial slaughter the lead character rallies the band and it evolves into an all out battle royale between band geeks and serial killers.
