I like it a lot! But I can't think of it as a thriller. There can be some thrills but your logline promise a certain amount of irony and comedy. It’s not just the “washed up”, it’s the plumber: I can’t take it as a full serious hero. To set a thriller tone you should pick a pipeline engeneer, a miner, a sewer worker… Why not change the tone of the movie into an action/comedy?

It’s “Kafka” so I don’t think the credibility or realism is a problem at all. Kafka trial is a nightmare where a man is accused of NOTHING and sentenced to death just because he refuses to defend himself. The problem I see here is that I can?t see the whole movie in the logline : too much details about the initial killing and no clues about what HAPPENS in the middle of the movie. If it?s really kafka? that you want to track, you should stress the paradox in the situation as much as you can. Something like A honest but ingenuous security guard kills a terrorist and save the White House, only to find he will be treated as a terrorist and nailed in a kafkian trial?.

Me too I don't get it. I would say : "An introvert software engeneer delegates the A.I. he's working on to deal with his son's drug abuse, only to find his son needs a father more that a software." Is that more or less what you mean ?
