I personally have the feeling of a random sequence of unconnected elements… an esoteric detective, a murdered pregnant woman, a rnr band… This could be a?masterpiece (it makes me think about the novel Inherent Vice – I haven’t seen the movie) but as a logline it fails to build interest because of a lack of coherence. The key of this one is ‘the mystery’: if the author really master his mystery he should try to give the reader some elements to prouve that.

In tradition of the French new wave films of the 60s, a young tap-gamer struggles with success and relationship strain after a conglomerate buys his game, while the conglomerate chairman frames an African American trash-man for his recent statuiatory rape lawsuit.

I can't see how the differents parts create a whole... a game, a rape, an african american trash man, french new wave, conglomeration... this could be genius but as a logline I don't understand anything at all sorry.

Hello, I personally like when a logline can describe the basic plot of the movie in terms of main character's goal/obstacles. "the world?s most distructive problems in his mind": first, I'd like to know what specific problem or I don't know if i'm interest or not in the movie; secondly, "in his mindRead more

    Hello,
I personally like when a logline can describe the basic plot of the movie in terms of main character’s goal/obstacles.

“the world?s most distructive problems in his mind”: first, I’d like to know what specific problem or I don’t know if i’m interest or not in the movie; secondly, “in his mind”? What do we SEE in the movie? The main character face while he’s thinking? 🙂

The idea of a movie about an autistic artist in very interesting but the logline is not yet there to structure the idea into an understandable and cinematographic form.
